Tongo,a sub adult male from Luya, 250 km from Chaparri, is a firm candidate for release to the wild*. He lives with Rosita, who does not accept him as a dominating partner. Tongo is a star of several television documentaries due to his playful temperament and skill at climbing trees.
* - Release will only be considered, if there is a budget which allows a release according to the guidelines of the Re-introductions Specialist Group: appropriate pre-release quarantine, long-term monitoring of released animals, data analyses and publication of results.
